One of the central functions of the SOLINET system is the SAFIRE Tracer which decodes and displays signaling information in real-time using plug-in Protocol Analyzers.

The Protocol Analyzer Application is built around this technology and run stand-alone in monitor mode or in parallel with the validation tools. Signaling information is captured to trace buffers located in memory. During capture the data is decoded and displayed in real-time.

The system works directly with dedicated hardware interfaces which passively monitor the signaling traffic at physical interfaces, such as Ethernet, E1/T1, ISDN & X.21. Information can be captured from all interfaces at the same time. The system is also able to decode different protocols simultaneously.

Using on-line trigger and filter functions, specific events can be detected and recorded. On- and off-line statistics provide a graphical view of the signaling characteristics, in terms of traffic volume and protocol-specific analysis.

Long-term measurements can also be made using the runtime environment's virtual memory technology, which allows buffers of 256 MB or more. The status of physical interfaces is displayed at all times, including clock, activation and traffic.

Our systems can be configured by using well defined building blocks. These systems can be delivered pre-installed in high performance Units, or can be provided for integration into your own Notebook or PCI system. Suitable Physical Interfaces should be purchased, depending on your choice of unit.

The Network Analyser family also includes protocol specific Call Analyzers for higher level analytical purposes.
